Overview
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to combine Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Sudoku and Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Sudoku Creator Edition with the Instant Puzzle Books feature to produce full puzzle books. We’ll also cover Advanced Layouts (available in Creator Edition) for arranging multiple puzzles and solutions per page.
Required Modules
- Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Sudoku (standard version)
- Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Sudoku Creator Edition (Advanced Layouts available in Creator Edition only)
- Instant Puzzle Books module (always included in Puzzle Maker Pro)
Preparation
Before you start:
- Ensure you have Puzzle Maker Pro v2025.11.0 or newer installed.
- Have your Math Sudoku puzzles configured and tested.
- Save your preferred Math Sudoku configuration as a preset for reuse.
- Decide on the trim size, margins, and overall book layout.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Configure Your Math Sudoku Puzzles
- Open the Math Sudoku module.
- Apply your saved preset or configure settings manually (size, difficulty, equations, numbers, style, branding).
- Use Next Preview to check the look and feel.
2. Open Instant Puzzle Books
- Go to the Instant Puzzle Books tab.
- Under Output Type, choose your preferred format:
- Full Page Images
- PowerPoint
3. Set Page Format
- Enter Trim Size in inches.
- Set Margins and enable Mirror Margins if creating print books.
4. Customize Titles Setup
- Define how puzzle and solution titles are displayed.
- Use placeholders for dynamic content such as Sudoku size or difficulty.
5. Arrange Page Layout
- Go to Page Layout settings.
- For standard users – 1 puzzle or solution per page, which is a good layout for Math Sudokus.
- For Creator Edition users – Access the Page Layouts tab to arrange up to 10×10 puzzles or solutions per page.
6. Generate the Puzzle Book
- Set the output folder and project name.
- Click Create to generate your book file.
7. Review and Finalize
- Open the output file to review layout and quality.
- Make adjustments to margins, titles, or layouts if necessary.
