Halloween Activity Book Builder Review (2026): Price, OTOs, and Who It’s Perfect For

Last checked: 6 October 2026. Launch: 7 October 2026 at 9:00 AM US Central (14:00 UTC, 16:00 in Amsterdam). Links marked “(affiliate link)” pay BookPublisherTools a commission if you buy through them; the full disclosure is at the bottom of the page.

If you’ve ever put a Halloween activity book together by hand, you know where the hours go: hunting for clipart you’re allowed to use, drawing mazes around it, making answer pages, fighting the cover template. Halloween Activity Book Builder puts all of that in one browser tab. You pick the activities, drop in the included artwork, and export the book.

This review covers what the $17 Builder includes, what every upgrade costs, who it’s a good fit for, and where it sits next to our own Puzzle Maker Pro. I haven’t bought it, so everything below comes from the vendor’s sales page, affiliate (JV) page, terms and refund policy, read on 6 October 2026. Where I couldn’t check something, I say so.

The short version

Halloween Activity Book Builder (affiliate link) is a browser-based tool by Thien Nhan for making simple, picture-rich Halloween activity books for young children. It costs $17 at launch, comes with 116 pieces of Halloween artwork, 12 activity families and 6 cover templates, and exports a printable PDF plus separate KDP interior and cover files. It’s covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.

It’s a good fit if you want a friendly, graphic-heavy kids’ book or printable pack ready for this Halloween without drawing or sourcing art yourself. It is not a deep puzzle generator, and it doesn’t claim to be. That’s exactly why it works well alongside one.

Who it’s perfect for

  • Etsy printable sellers who want a Halloween activity pack for little ones: mazes, counting, matching, tracing and coloring, with art already in place.
  • Teachers and TPT sellers who need a quiet-time or class-party packet for preschool to early primary. The Builder even drafts a TPT product description for you.
  • KDP publishers who want a simple Halloween activity book for young kids and are happy to make one or two good books rather than dozens.
  • Parents and homeschoolers who want a custom book for their own kids.
  • People who don’t want to write AI prompts. The sales page says plainly: no prompts required. You start from included activities and artwork.

It’s less suited to puzzle books for older kids, teens or adults. More on that below.

What you get in the $17 Builder

Here’s the front end, straight from the sales page’s “What’s included” list:

  • 12 activity families, 3 layouts each. The sample pages show simple mazes, counting, picture matching, shadow matching, low-ink coloring, complete-the-pattern, tracing paths, story sequencing, cut and build, kindness cards, make-and-give and a creative writing page.
  • 116 built-in art assets: 72 character poses, 24 props, 8 scenes and 12 motifs (black cats, friendly ghosts, owls, bats, pumpkins, a little monster and more). You can also upload your own PNG or SVG files if you have the rights to them.
  • 6 cover templates, color and low-ink interiors, and three book sizes: US Letter, 8 × 10 and A4.
  • Linked answer keys for the activities that need them.
  • Exports: a full-book PDF, a PDF of selected pages, a PNG of the current page, and separate KDP interior and full-wrap cover PDFs.
  • A seller ZIP with three 2000 × 2000 listing images, description drafts for a general shop, Etsy and Teachers Pay Teachers, and a pre-publish checklist. A separate customer ZIP holds the book PDF, getting-started instructions and customer-use terms.
  • Rights: the license lets you sell the finished PDF or PNG books, including client projects. It also includes resale, master resale and private-label rights to the original Builder components, plus an editable source ZIP. Self-hosting that copy needs Node.js, npm and your own hosting, and you’d support your own customers.

You can flip through 20 sample interior pages on the sales page (affiliate link) before you decide. That’s the best test: if the art style suits your books, the rest is straightforward.

A few practical details worth knowing:

  • It runs in your browser, not as installed software, and you activate it with your purchase email and key. Projects save in the browser with autosave, but there’s no cloud sync, so export the JSON backup regularly.
  • It doesn’t publish for you. You review the pages, set your price and upload the files yourself.
  • Some of the artwork is AI-assisted, as the vendor says on the JV page, and the covers in the samples are labelled AI-illustrated. Every buyer gets the same artwork library, so don’t describe it as hand-drawn or exclusive to your shop.

Price, OTOs and refunds

A pricing table for the Halloween Activity Book Builder launch funnel: front end Halloween Activity Book Builder $17, order bump Halloween Cover Collection $9.95, upgrade 1 Publisher Pro $27, upgrade 2 Ready-Made Book Library $27, upgrade 3 Artwork Expansion Vault $37, everything in the funnel $117.95, with notes on the 30-day guarantee per item and the $37 planned regular price having no announced date

Prices are from the JV page. If you took every step, the total would be $117.95.

Do you need the upgrades? No. The vendor describes the front end as complete and every upgrade as optional, and that matches the feature list. My quick take on each:

  • Publisher Pro has the clearest long-term use. Halloween is one season; Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter come around too, so this turns the Builder into a year-round tool.
  • The Cover Collection saves time if covers are your weak spot. The front end already has six cover templates, so you can skip it.
  • The Ready-Made Book Library gives you finished starting points. Treat them as raw material, not 24 products to upload. Every library buyer gets the same books, and KDP only lets you create 2 new titles per book format each week (KDP Help). Pick one or two, make them your own, and publish carefully.
  • The Artwork Expansion Vault is for people who’ll make several books and want more variety. The terms say it includes AI-generated artwork.

Is the price going up? The sales page calls $17 an “introductory price” with a “planned regular price” of $37. No date has been announced for that change, so I can’t tell you when it happens. The affiliate contest ends on 12 October 2026, but the vendor says clearly that the product stays on sale after that.

Refunds: every item has its own 30-day money-back guarantee, no reason required. You request it through your WarriorPlus purchase record or by emailing [email protected] with your receipt. These are one-time payments with no subscription.

Is there a bonus? BookPublisherTools doesn’t add a bonus stack to this offer. The order bump is the only extra in the funnel. I’d rather you judged the Builder on its own pages.

The Halloween window is real

This is the one bit of urgency I’m comfortable giving you, because it’s on the calendar, not on a countdown timer. Halloween is 31 October, and a Halloween activity book sells before that date, not after. Move now and you can still sell into this Halloween:

  • Etsy and TPT printables are digital downloads, and a listing is typically live as soon as you publish it. The Builder’s seller ZIP already includes listing images and Etsy and TPT description drafts, so this is the fastest route.
  • A KDP paperback should go up this week. KDP estimates that a submitted book takes 3 business days to go live, and that a paperback’s detail page appears on Amazon.com within up to 72 hours (KDP Help: Timelines). The Builder exports separate KDP interior and cover PDFs. The vendor recommends checking them in KDP Previewer and with a printed proof, so do the Previewer check before you submit and order the proof the same day.

List the printable first, submit the paperback right behind it, and every day you start earlier is another selling day before the 31st.

Halloween Activity Book Builder vs Puzzle Maker Pro

You might wonder whether these two tools compete. They don’t. They solve different halves of the same book.

Halloween Activity Book Builder is the fast, ready-made route. It gives you simple activities with built-in graphics: a witch finding her way to an owl, pumpkins to count, shadows to match. You choose and arrange; the art is already there.

Puzzle Maker Pro is the deep, flexible puzzle generator. It’s Windows desktop software (on a Mac you’d run it through virtual Windows) that builds puzzles from your own word lists and settings, with matching solutions. It’s where you go when you want real puzzles with real difficulty control, or a whole puzzle book for older solvers.

Put both in one Halloween book

The Builder’s activity list has no word searches, criss-cross puzzles or word scrambles. Those are exactly the pages that stretch a Halloween book upward in age, and they’re what Puzzle Maker Pro does well. A combined book or bundle might look like this:

  • Front section, ages 4 to 7: mazes, counting, matching and coloring pages from the Builder.
  • Back section, ages 7 and up: a Halloween word search, a criss-cross and a word scramble from Puzzle Maker Pro, each with an answer key.

Here’s the kind of word search page you’d add, with its key:

A Halloween word search puzzle page beside its answer key: a 12 by 12 letter grid with a word bank of broom, candy, cauldron, costume, ghost, lantern, moonlight, owl, pumpkin, skeleton, spider and witch, where words run across, down or diagonally down-right, and the key highlights each word in orange

This example was drawn with a short script for this article, not exported from either product. It shows the page type, not any product’s styling.

The Puzzle Maker Pro modules that fit a Halloween book:

  • Standard Word Search builds word searches from any list you paste. You choose whether diagonal and backwards words appear, can make shaped puzzles, can hide vowels for a learning version, and get a matching solution for every grid. (How word search works)
  • Criss Cross turns your list into a numbered crossing grid with Across and Down clues you write, plus a solution page. (How criss cross works)
  • Word Scramble scrambles your list with a hint setting that scales with word length, and makes the answer key.
  • Seek and Find makes hidden-symbol hunts with adjustable density and difficulty.
  • Puzzle Book Studio assembles puzzle pages into a book with numbering and a solutions section.

One Halloween word list (pumpkin, lantern, cauldron, moonlight) can feed all three word puzzles, so the theme stays consistent from the first page to the last. If you’re planning more than one season, seasonal holiday puzzle printables shows how to run the same puzzle types through a year of themes, and kids activity book interiors for KDP covers mixing page types for one age band.

On Etsy or TPT, sell the Builder pages as a “little kids” pack and the puzzles as an “older kids” pack, then bundle both for families (Etsy word search printables, TPT word search worksheets).

Quality over volume

Tools like this make it easy to produce a lot of pages quickly. That’s useful, but it isn’t the goal. KDP limits how many new titles you can create and submit: up to 2 new titles per book format each week (KDP Help). Etsy and TPT buyers compare listings side by side, too.

So spend the time the Builder saves on what a buyer notices: activities that suit one age band, answer keys you’ve checked, a cover that doesn’t look like the sample, and pages nobody else has, like your own puzzles. One good Halloween book with your own touch beats a row of near-identical ones.

What the vendor doesn’t promise (and neither do I)

The vendor’s own pages are careful here, and I’ll match them:

  • No income or sales promises. The earnings disclaimer says no income, sales, rankings or marketplace acceptance is guaranteed.
  • No guarantee KDP accepts the files. The vendor notes supported books run from 24 to 200 interior pages, that Standard Color needs 72 or more pages and isn’t available for A4, and that “marketplace acceptance is not guaranteed”.
  • No uniqueness. The artwork and ready-made books are shared by every buyer. Your edits make your book different, not the tool.
  • Rights come with conditions. They apply to the original materials delivered, and third-party license notices must be kept.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Art is included, so you can make a good-looking kids’ book without drawing or sourcing clipart.
  • Answer keys, listing images, description drafts and KDP-ready PDFs save real setup time.
  • Runs in a browser, with nothing to install.
  • $17 at launch, a 30-day guarantee on every item, and no upgrade needed.

Cons

  • Activities are simple and aimed at young children. No word searches, crosswords or deeper puzzles.
  • Projects live in your browser only, so keep JSON backups.
  • Artwork and the OTO 2 books are shared with every buyer; plan to edit before you publish.

FAQ

Is Halloween Activity Book Builder worth it?

If you want simple, illustrated Halloween activities for young children and don’t want to source art, $17 is a fair price for what’s included, and the 30-day guarantee lowers the risk. If you need puzzles for older kids or adults, you’ll want a puzzle generator as well.

What are the Halloween Activity Book Builder OTOs and price?

The front end is $17 at launch (planned regular price $37, no date announced). There’s a $9.95 Cover Collection order bump and three optional upgrades: Publisher Pro ($27), the Ready-Made Book Library ($27) and the Artwork Expansion Vault ($37).

Can I sell the books I make?

The license lets you sell finished PDF or PNG books, including client work. Check the license that comes with your purchase for the exact terms.

Does it make word searches or crosswords?

They aren’t in the activity list on the sales page. For those, use a puzzle generator such as Puzzle Maker Pro’s Standard Word Search and Criss Cross.

Ready to build your Halloween book?

If simple, illustrated activities for young kids are what your shop or classroom needs this Halloween season, the Builder is an easy, low-risk way to get there. Have a look at the sample pages first; they’ll tell you in a minute whether the style fits.

Affiliate disclosure: Some links in this review are affiliate links. If you buy Halloween Activity Book Builder or any of its upgrades through them, BookPublisherTools earns a commission from WarriorPlus at no extra cost to you. That gives me a reason to be positive, so I’ve tried to stick to what the vendor’s own pages show. I haven’t bought or used the Builder myself; this review is based on the sales page, JV page, terms and refund policy as of 6 October 2026. Puzzle Maker Pro is our own product.
