Puzzle Book Studio

From puzzles to finished puzzle products
You can generate puzzles quickly.
Turning them into a structured, consistent product is a different step.
Puzzle Book Studio is the part of Puzzle Maker Pro that handles that step. It takes the puzzles you already created and allows you to assemble them into complete puzzle books or structured collections, without rebuilding or rearranging everything manually.
Work with puzzle sets instead of individual files
Every time you generate puzzles, a puzzle set is created.
A puzzle set represents a group of puzzles with shared settings, such as:
- puzzle type
- difficulty or variation
- generation batch
Puzzle Book Studio builds on these sets.
Instead of managing separate puzzle files, you work with these sets as building blocks. This makes it easier to organize, reuse, and combine puzzles into larger products.
Build complete products from your puzzle sets
A puzzle product is created by combining one or more puzzle sets.
- Without the Time Saver add-on, you typically work with a single puzzle set
- With Time Saver, you can combine multiple puzzle sets into one product
In both cases, the workflow stays the same.
This means you can start with a simple setup and move to more advanced products when needed, without changing how you work.
Define layout once, apply it consistently
Instead of placing puzzles manually on each page, you define how a page should look.
Layout is controlled per puzzle set, with a default layout for the entire book.
Within a layout, you define:
- puzzle position and size
- title area
- description area
- spacing and padding
Once defined, this layout is applied automatically across all puzzles in the set.
This removes the need to manually format each page.
Control titles and text without extra work
Each puzzle can include a title and description.
You can:
- use generated titles
- edit titles individually where needed
- adjust descriptions per puzzle
You also define fonts for:
- puzzle titles
- solution titles
- page numbers
- descriptions
- word lists
This ensures that your entire product remains consistent without requiring page-by-page editing.
Create variations from the same content
Once your puzzle sets are in place, you can generate multiple versions of a product without recreating puzzles.
You can:
- shuffle puzzles within a set
- shuffle across all sets
- hide specific puzzles
- hide entire puzzle sets
This allows you to create:
- full puzzle books
- shorter demo versions
- alternate editions of the same book
You can export one version, make adjustments, and export another.
Catch issues before exporting
When working with structured layouts, small issues can affect the final result.
Puzzle Book Studio provides warnings when something does not fit correctly, such as:
- word lists that exceed their available space
- layout constraints that cannot be satisfied
This allows you to fix problems before exporting, instead of discovering them afterwards.
Build your content over time
Puzzle Book Studio supports an incremental workflow.
You can:
- generate puzzle sets
- open the studio and start structuring your product
- close the studio
- create additional puzzle sets
- return and continue editing
This allows you to build larger products gradually, instead of completing everything in one session.
Export ready-to-use puzzle products
Once your structure is defined, you can export your product as:
- print-ready PDF puzzle books
- PowerPoint-based puzzle books
- image-based page outputs
The exported result reflects the structure, layout, and puzzle sets you defined.
When to use Puzzle Book Studio
If you are working with individual puzzles or small sets, the standard outputs are often enough.
Puzzle Book Studio becomes useful when you:
- create complete puzzle books
- want consistent layout across many puzzles
- combine multiple puzzle types
- produce different versions of the same content
- build products that are ready to publish or sell
Part of the Puzzle Maker Pro system
Puzzle Book Studio is included as part of Puzzle Maker Pro.
It connects directly to puzzle generation and output, allowing you to move from individual puzzles to complete products within the same system.
