Etsy sells a number-puzzle pack as a file. A dozen pages in one look, answer keys in the ZIP, printed at home this afternoon. KDP sells the same four looks as a long interior judged on Look Inside. Same generators, two different products. This page is the number shelf for the Etsy side.
The printable contract — short themed pack, stated page count, a page one that reads in a thumbnail, keys in the file, an honest license line — is already written in Selling Puzzle Printables on Etsy. This page does not rewrite it. It picks the four number looks that survive it.
A pack is not a book
The channel difference is real, not cosmetic. An Etsy number pack is small and themed: one look, one difficulty band, puzzles plus keys, and the thumbnail does the selling. A KDP number book is a hundred-page interior with a trim size, and the Look Inside sells it. The buyer, the price, and the first thing they see are all different.
That means two mistakes to avoid. Do not dump a 100-page interior into a “printable” listing — it has no theme, book pricing it can no longer bear, and a copyright page where the thumbnail should be. The number shelf: four looks
Etsy’s number shelf is thick with sudoku packs. The way out is a look whose page one is obviously something else at thumbnail size. Four live Puzzle Maker Pro modules give you that. Each look is its own listing, not a new cover on the same pack.
Smart Numbers — a line of values and a blank
Smart Numbers prints hidden-rule sequences: a row of numbers, a missing value, a rule the solver has to find. No grid at all — the most visibly not-sudoku page of the four. A pack still needs more than add-two on every line; two formula families in twelve pages is enough variation for a session. The book-length treatment is already written in Smart Numbers puzzle book for KDP; this hub will not redraft it.
Number Blocks — bold cages, digits 1 to N
Number Blocks is the puzzle also sold as Suguru or Tectonic — three more keyword routes into the same pack. A grid is carved into bold-outlined blocks of one to five cells. A block of N cells holds exactly 1 through N, and equal digits never touch, not even diagonally. In a thumbnail the wandering block borders read as a sudoku cousin that is clearly not sudoku. Pick one size band per listing — 5×5 for a kids pack, 8×8 for an adult evening — not every size in one ZIP.
Hitori — the grid arrives full
Hitori inverts the sudoku page: every cell already has a number, and the solver shades cells out until no digit repeats in a row or column. The first photo has to show that full grid with a scatter of black tiles, or the listing looks like every other number pack. One print fact to plan around: solution pages carry solid near-black cells, so keep the key count honest — a twelve-puzzle pack is twelve dark key pages. Binary — two symbols, balanced
Binary Puzzles is the starkest page of the four: an even-sized grid, 6×6 up to 16×16, with a handful of given 0s and 1s. Fill the rest so no three identical symbols sit in a line and every row and column splits 50/50. Solvers also search for it as Takuzu and Binairo. In a thumbnail it is two symbols and white space — no shopper mistakes it for sudoku. One even size per pack.
One look per pack
One look, one theme, one difficulty band per listing. A fall sequences pack, a winter sequences pack, and an ocean Binary pack are three honest listings. Forty pages of every number type in one ZIP is the grab-bag nobody searched for. The second pack in any look is cheap: swap the theme or the size, regenerate, re-cut the file. What you never do is relist the same pack under a new cover.
Loop-and-path deduction packs — a closed loop, a drawn track, a queen placement — are a different Etsy shelf. This page is numbers.
Every puzzle pairs with its solution, so the keys page count is the puzzle page count — state both in the description. The whole point
A number printable on Etsy is a short themed pack in one look, with keys in the file and a page one that survives a thumbnail. Four looks — sequences, cages, shading, 0/1 — are four listings, not one. Pick the look the listing is selling, and leave the hundred-page interior on Amazon where it belongs.
