With Acrostic Grid you can use a secret word or phrase that is printed in a separate area. Solving the secret would be the goal of the puzzle.

Alternatively you can create puzzles without a secret words. In that case the letter hints serve as additional clues to solve the puzzle.

Just like other Crossword Variations, you can print the clues as regular descriptions, or choose word fill or word scramble variations.

Although Acrostic Grid resembles our Acrostic Column puzzle, it’s quite a different puzzle, with many different layout options, flexibly setting the minimum or maximum number of words, sorting the rows by length or in a diamond pattern. (Acrostic Column has more restrictions because the single column contains the secret word).

Ease of Use

There are several ways to create Acrostic puzzles:

You can start with the themed word lists you already use for Word Search puzzles, and then add clues after generating puzzles.

If you have word lists that include clues, you can include these as well.

One of the challenging aspect of crossword puzzles is writing the clues. With Puzzle Maker Pro – Acrostic Grid you get an integrated Clue Editor and an integrated AI-based English Dictionary. After generating the puzzles, you can manually edit the clues, or use the dictionary to automatic complement all the clues, and optionally verify them.

You can also provide your own dictionary (word:clue list) and build a custom dictionary while you create puzzles.
