Create fun Criss Cross puzzles from your own word lists with Puzzle Maker Pro – Criss Cross. This is our first puzzle type in the Crossword niche, allowing you to create unique and fun puzzles for puzzle books, activity books, printables and more.

Puzzle Maker Pro – Criss Cross will create unique puzzles from your word list. The algorithm is very much randomized, each puzzle you generate from the same word list will be different. Of course you can create puzzle books as well, in Powerpoint and PDF format.

One of the challenging aspect of crossword puzzles is writing the clues. Our software cannot do that for you, but we provide a sophisticated approach that allows you to use word lists with or without clues. It will check if clues are present for all the words, and let you edit the clues before generating puzzle books. You can use the workflow that works best for you.

Please be aware that at this time Puzzle Maker Pro does not include a dictionary. With the included Dictionary Connect Add-On you can automatically add clues from your own (!) dictionary word list. This allows you to reuse themed word lists that you have assembled for e.g. Word Search puzzles.

With the included Time Saver Add-On you get more layout options, and a workflow that can quickly create puzzles and puzzle books from many different word lists.

Ease of Use

There are several ways to create Criss Cross puzzles:

You can start with the themed word lists you already use for Word Search puzzles, and then add clues after generating puzzles. with the included Dictionary Connect Add-On, clues from your dictionary word list will automatically be added to the words.

If you have word lists that include clues, you can include these as well.

With the Dictionary Connect Add-On, you can also build up your own dictionary word list as you go.
