Logic puzzle printables for Etsy
Etsy sells a deduction pack as a file. A dozen pages on one mechanic, a preview that shows what the pencil does, keys in the ZIP, printed at home this afternoon. KDP sells the same families as a long interior judged on Look Inside. TPT sells one page plus a key the teacher photocopies tomorrow. Same generators. Three products.
This page is the logic shelf for the Etsy side. The printable contract — short themed pack, stated page count, a page one that reads in a thumbnail, keys in the file, an honest license line — is already written in Selling Puzzle Printables on Etsy. This page does not rewrite it. It picks the pencil jobs that survive it.
A pack is not a book, and not a worksheet
The channel difference is real, not cosmetic. An Etsy logic pack is small and themed: one mechanic, one difficulty band, puzzles plus keys, and the thumbnail does the selling. A KDP logic book is a hundred-page interior with a trim size — that shelf is logic puzzle books for KDP. A TPT listing is one deduction page plus a clean key — that shelf is TPT logic puzzle worksheets. The buyer, the price, and the first thing they see are all different.
Two mistakes follow. Do not dump a 100-page interior into a “printable” listing — it has no theme, book pricing it can no longer bear, and a copyright page where the thumbnail should be. What the pencil does, decides the listing
A logic printable is defined by what the pencil does. Four jobs on this shelf: draw one loop, draw paths, split the grid, place pieces. Each one produces a first photo that looks like nothing else in the search results — which is the whole reason to list here instead of adding another digit grid to the pile.
Draw one loop — Slitherlink and Country Tour
Slitherlink prints a lattice of dots with digit clues; the solver draws a single closed loop, and each digit counts the loop segments around its cell. In a thumbnail there are no grid lines at all — just dots and small numbers. Keep the dots dark. If they fade to grey, the pack is unpleasant to print.
Country Tour is the other loop page, and it is not a geography quiz. The grid is split into bold-bordered regions. There are no numbers and no country names. The solver draws one closed loop that visits every cell exactly once and enters and leaves each region exactly once. The name is the tour of those regions, not a travel worksheet. An unsolved page looks like a quiet region grid, so put a solved crop in the listing photos — the loop is the pencil job the thumbnail has to prove. Optional region fills make the regions easier to see in a small crop; they do not change the rules. Every generated board has one solution. That is a listing fact.
Country Tour sits on this Etsy shelf and not on the KDP logic hub. If you already sell the other six as books, this is the pack that has no sibling interior on that page.
Draw the paths — Numberlink and Train Tracks
Numberlink scatters matching number pairs on an otherwise empty grid; the solver connects each pair with a path, and paths never cross. The blankness is the hook — a preview that is mostly white space with paired digits looks like nothing else on Etsy.
Train Tracks lays one continuous track from an entry on the left edge to an exit on the bottom, with row and column counts saying how many cells carry track and a few track pieces printed as givens. By default every board is guess-free with a single solution — a claim you can put in the listing. The “allow guessing” mode is an expert option; if a pack uses it, say so in the description.
Split the grid — Shikaku and Galaxies
Shikaku carves the grid into rectangles: each rectangle holds exactly one printed number, and the number equals its area. The puzzle page is a quiet grid with scattered digits; the key is bold drawn borders.
Galaxies — also searched as Tentai Show — partitions the grid into regions that are point-symmetric around printed dots. Unsolved, the page is a grid sprinkled with dots. Solved, it is a patchwork of interlocking symmetric shapes, which makes the key page a second listing photo rather than an afterthought.
Place the pieces — Queens
Queens puts one queen in every row, column, and bold region, with no two queens touching. The puzzle page shows only the regions — not a single clue digit — so the key is the whole answer. Do not upload a Queens pack without one.
Not on this shelf
Hitori and Binary read as logic but sell as number pages: a full digit grid you shade, a 0/1 grid you fill. They live on the number-puzzle shelf, matching the KDP split. The TPT logic hub lists them because a classroom file cares about the skill, not the Amazon category. This Etsy hub does not. Keep those packs on the number line.
One mechanic per pack
One look, one theme, one difficulty band per listing. A fall Slitherlink pack, a winter Slitherlink pack, and a weekend Country Tour pack are three honest listings. Forty boards of every style in one ZIP is the grab-bag nobody searched for. The second pack in any mechanic is cheap: swap the theme or the size, regenerate, re-cut the file. What you never do is relist the same pack under a new cover.
Every puzzle pairs with a drawn key — the loop, the paths, the borders, the placements. State both counts in the description: “12 puzzle pages + 12 answer pages.” Drawn keys do not compress the way digit grids do, so the key half of the ZIP is real pages, not four grids in a corner.
Commercial rights to sell the finished puzzles as printables are part of the Puzzle Maker Pro license, as stated on the homepage; that covers you and the software, not Etsy’s own digital-item rules. Some of these modules can also export live playable versions for your own website, but that is a separate product and does not belong in the pack.
The whole point
A logic printable on Etsy is a short themed pack in one pencil job, with keys in the file and a page one that survives a thumbnail. Seven modules — Slitherlink, Numberlink, Train Tracks, Galaxies, Shikaku, Queens, Country Tour — are seven listings, not one. Pick the mechanic the listing is selling. Leave the hundred-page interior on Amazon. Leave the one-page classroom file on Teachers Pay Teachers.
