Because of this pattern, only even grid sizes are included – you can choose from 6×6 up to 16×16 grids.

In addition to numbers you can also use letters, hexadecimals or roman numericals to make the puzzles a bit harder. Because each cell has only half the options compared to regular sudoku, these puzzles tend to be a lot easier, in addition to the different difficulty levels.

For Checkerboard Sudoku, first select Sudoku Variations in the menu, then select one of the grid sizes and select the Checkerboard variations.

Click Preview to see your first Checkerboard Sudoku.

You can change the font and other style settings. You can use any TrueType font on your computer.

You can change the output format.

Click Preview to see the changes.
