Description

Word Squares is a simple grid-based word puzzle. Each letter can occur only once in each row and in each column. The goal is to find the hidden word (an empty row or column) with logic only. It’s a bit like sudoku, but without the sub-grids.

You can select grid sizes from 3×3 to 9×9 squares (that’s actually 7 different puzzles) and generate puzzles using your own word lists. Optionally you can add a clue for each word that will be used in the Instant Puzzle Books, for example “Portugal:Country in Europe”.

You can choose the font for the letters in the puzzle, and optionally for the clue. And of course you can customize colors, choose Uppercase or lowercase for the letters, line color and width and canvas color.

The word list you select will be filtered automatically to use only valid words (the right number of letters and no duplicate letters.
