Generic website page with an embedded jigsaw sudoku board of irregular regions, no software UI

Online Playable Jigsaw Sudoku

An online Jigsaw Sudoku is an N×N fill-in a visitor plays in the browser, on a site you already own. Rows, columns, and irregular regions. No 3×3 box stack. Online play is a live path on newest Puzzle Maker Pro modules: the seller publishes playable catalogs — JSON/HTML for the WordPress plugin or a self-hosted player — to a site they already own. A Jigsaw Sudoku play page is coming with the product. This article does not invent a play URL.

This page is the why — a playable extra on your domain. It is not a shop launch and not a generate walkthrough. Jigsaw Sudoku is the generator. A play guide and a create tutorial for this module are not live on the site yet; do not send readers to a create URL or a how-to-play URL. Upload steps already live in Publish a Puzzle Catalog.

This is not Sudoku 9×9 (regular boxes). It is not Jigsaw Squares (a paper cut-out). The square-activity article is Jigsaw Squares printable activity pages. That is the picture product. This is the region fill-in.

What the playable board is for

Website owners are not buying another paperback. They want a short irregular-region grid a visitor can finish without leaving the page.

Typical jobs:

  • A free sample next to a print jigsaw-sudoku title (“play one, then get the book”).
  • A lead-gen or membership extra on a site you already run.
  • A practice path that is not a printed packet.

The page around it is yours: nav, email capture, whatever you put beside the catalog. The editions path is on the editions page. Lifetime license is per product.

Match the print promise when you also sell a book or a worksheet. Same size. Same given-density. Same region look — the usual printed map is 180-degree-symmetric. Color the regions when a screen thumbnail would lose a line-only border. A 6×6 with more givens is the public sample. Keep the sparse 9×9 for the people who already opted in.

What the embed has to be

It has to be obviously a jigsaw in the first five seconds: thick irregular region borders, a few givens, empty cells, no 3×3 box stack. If you need a rules lesson, that is the play guide, not this article. The play guide is not live; keep this page off how-to-play.

It has to live on your site. The plugin publishes a catalog as its own page or in a post. One catalog plays per page.

It has to end in a way that works for you. A default catalog is a menu: the visitor picks a grid and goes back to the list. A completion panel and an end button appear only if you turn on a leveled game under Catalog Merge → Game Options. Do not count on a finish-screen CTA unless you opted into Game Options. Progress is local to that browser. Nothing comes back as a class dashboard. Do not sell it as an LMS.

A KDP Jigsaw Sudoku interior (jigsaw-sudoku-puzzle-book-kdp) is still the print book. An Etsy pack (jigsaw-sudoku-printables-etsy) is still the PDF. A TPT page (tpt-jigsaw-sudoku-worksheets) is still the worksheet. This is the site extra. Do not upload the book file and call it playable.

The four-channel map is the product-form article.

What this is not

This is not a replacement for print. Most jigsaw-sudoku money is still books, printables, and worksheets. The embed is the second product: proof, sample, habit.

This is not a tutorial for the desktop app or the plugin. The catalog-upload page already exists.

This is not a shop page. Leave the buy button on the product listing.

This is not PuzzleWire. PuzzleWire is a future play-only SaaS and is not in current bundles.

When it is worth a page

You already have a site and you want a newest-module irregular-region grid people can play on your domain. Put a short Jigsaw Sudoku set on a page you control and keep the long file for KDP, Etsy, or TPT. Same board. Two products.

Commercial rights for puzzles on your own site are part of the Puzzle Maker Pro license as stated on the homepage.
