An online Hand-drawn Maze is a ribbon tangle a visitor traces in the browser, on a site you already own. Looping corridors, over/under bridges, S and E openings. No grid. Online play is yes: Creative Interactive or Productivity Interactive. The seller publishes playable mazes — live JSON/HTML for the WordPress plugin or a self-hosted player — to a site they already own.
This page is the why — a playable extra on your domain. It is not a shop launch and not a generate walkthrough. Hand-drawn Mazes is the generator. How the maze works is How Hand-drawn Mazes Work. Upload steps already live in Publish a Puzzle Catalog.
This is not Oblique Mazes (a slanted square grid). It is not Maze Tile Set 3 (drawn tiles for Mazes 2D Tiles). Those are other products.
What the playable board is for
Website owners are not buying another paperback. They want a short maze a visitor can finish without leaving the page.
Typical jobs:
- A free sample next to a print maze title (“play one, then get the book”).
- A lead-gen or membership extra on a site you already run.
- A practice path that is not a printed packet.
The page around it is yours: nav, email capture, whatever you put beside the catalog. The editions are Creative Interactive or Productivity Interactive, as stated on the editions page.
Match the print promise when you also sell a book or a worksheet. Sparse kids boards on the public page. Dense decoy boards for people who already opted in. Default loops mean more than one valid route can exist; say so if the page implies a single answer.
What the embed has to be
It has to be obviously a ribbon tangle in the first five seconds: corridors that pass over and under, no square grid. If you need a rules lesson, that is the play guide, not this article.
It has to live on your site. The plugin publishes a catalog as its own page or in a post. One catalog plays per page.
It has to end in a way that works for you. A default catalog is a menu: the visitor picks a maze and goes back to the list. A completion panel and an end button appear only if you turn on a leveled game under Catalog Merge → Game Options. Do not count on a finish-screen CTA unless you opted into Game Options. Progress is local to that browser. Nothing comes back as a class dashboard. Do not sell it as an LMS.
A KDP Hand-drawn Maze interior is still the print book. An Etsy pack is still the PDF. This is the site extra. Do not upload the book file and call it playable.
The four-channel map is the product-form article.
What this is not
This is not a replacement for print. Most maze money is still books, printables, and worksheets. The embed is the second product: proof, sample, habit.
This is not a tutorial for the desktop app or the plugin. The catalog-upload page already exists.
This is not a shop page. Leave the buy button on the product listing.
When it is worth a page
You already have a site and you want a newest-module maze people can play on your domain. Put a short Hand-drawn set on a page you control and keep the long file for KDP, Etsy, or TPT. Same ribbons. Two products.
Commercial rights for puzzles on your own site are part of the Puzzle Maker Pro license as stated on the homepage.
