🔄 How to Use Chain Mode with Time Saver in Meta Puzzles for Math Maze
🧠Overview
This tutorial shows you how to create multi-step logic puzzle books using Chain Mode in combination with the Time Saver and Meta Puzzle Add-On for Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Maze.
Time Saver allows you to define multiple puzzle settings in a table format. When you use Chain Mode across multiple consecutive rows, the puzzles will be chained together into one long sequence — with the result of each puzzle used in the next.
Perfect for:
- Puzzle book publishers who want progressive difficulty
- Educators designing leveled logic activities
- Content creators producing structured puzzle books fast
📦 Required Modules
- Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Maze (core)
- Meta Puzzles for Math Maze (add-on)
- Time Saver for Math Maze
🔧 Preparation
- Launch Puzzle Maker Pro
- Choose Math Maze from the module list
- Go to the Time Saver tab
- Add multiple rows
- In each Chain row, select Chain in the Meta column

Each Time Saver row represents a batch of puzzles. When several rows are marked as Chain (one after the other), the output will be combined into a single chain of puzzles. If a row with another Meta mode (e.g. Boss Level or None) appears in between, the chain is broken.
🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Add Chain Rows
- Click “+ Add Row” in the Time Saver tab
- For each row:
- Choose grid size and operators
- Set number ranges for difficulty
- Under Meta, choose Chain
- Set quantity (e.g. 10 puzzles)
✅ If you have 10 Chain rows, each generating 10 puzzles, you’ll create one continuous chain of 100 logic-linked puzzles.
2. Configure Output
- Open the Output Settings tab
- Choose your output format (PDF, PNG, JPG, SVG)
- Set output folder and file naming rules
3. Click “Create (TS)”
- Click Create (TS) to generate the full chain
- The result of each puzzle becomes the input for the next one
- Chain breaks only if a row with a different Meta mode is inserted in between
4. View and Export
- Review output folder to view individual puzzles
- Use Instant Puzzle Books for print-ready layout
🎯 Outcome
You’ll generate one or more long, fully connected math maze chains:
- All puzzles linked through logic, each result feeding the next
- Ideal for full puzzle books or skill progression packs
- One-click output even for 50, 100, or more puzzles

Tip: Keep your Chain rows together. If you insert a non-Chain row (like Boss Level or None), the chain will break — starting a new one. Plan your row order carefully to create longer or shorter puzzle paths.
