🛠️ Preparation
Before you begin:
- Decide which symbol type you’d like to use (e.g. Letters, Colors, Images)
- Make sure your symbol sets (like images or colors) are loaded and ready
- Select a grid size: 4×4, 6×6, or 9×9
🔢 Step-by-Step: Create a Chain Puzzle with Random Symbols
1. Select “Chain” Layout
- In the Layout tab, choose Chain from the dropdown
- Set Quantity to how many puzzles you want in the chain (e.g. 5 = five puzzles linked together)

2. Choose Your Symbol Type
- In the Settings tab, select a Symbol Type:
- Numbers
- Letters (A–Z)
- Roman Numerals
- Colors
- Images

3. Enable Randomization
- Enable the Randomize Set checkbox
- This tells the software to select a random subset of symbols from the full list

🔄 Important: The random selection happens once per chain run. All puzzles in the chain will use the same randomized set.
4. Set Your Symbol Pool (Optional)
If using numbers:
- You can define a custom range (e.g. 1–100)
- Or enter a specific list (e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 for prime numbers)

5. Adjust Result Area Text (Optional)
- In the Layout tab, set Result Text (e.g. “Hint” or “Step Clue”)
- Choose position (Top/Bottom)
6. Preview and Create
- Use Next Preview to check your design
- Click Create to generate and save your chain puzzle set

🎉 Outcome
You now have a visually unique Chain Puzzle using randomized symbols—ready for puzzle books, education, or themed printable games.
