👑 How to Use Boss Level Mode in Meta Puzzles for Math Maze
🧭 Overview
This tutorial shows you how to use Boss Level Mode in the Meta Puzzle Add-On for Puzzle Maker Pro – Math Maze. This mode lets you create a final “challenge puzzle” that uses the results of previous puzzles as missing values.
It’s perfect for:
- Puzzle book creators who want a finale puzzle at the end of a section or book
- Educators designing multi-step assessments or review challenges
- Printable sellers creating logic-based progression packs
Boss Level puzzles bring everything together — literally.
📦 Required Modules
(Note: This tutorial is for the regular interface, not the Time Saver tab. In the Time Saver, you can select Boss Level for each row separately.)
🔧 Preparation
- Launch Puzzle Maker Pro
- Select Math Maze from the module dropdown
- Go to the Meta tab
- Choose Boss Level from the dropdown menu
- Set the number of steps (2–5) in the Steps field
- Optional: Adjust the position and label of the result box (e.g. top, left, “Outcome”)
Each step corresponds to one puzzle result used in the Boss Level puzzle.
🪜 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Set Up Regular Puzzles
- First, generate 2–5 regular math maze puzzles (one for each step)
- Each will include a result box with a small index number (1, 2, 3, etc.)
2. Switch to Boss Level Mode
- In the Meta tab, select Boss Level
- Set the number of steps to match the number of regular puzzles you’ve created (e.g. 3)
3. Generate the Boss Level Puzzle
- Click Create
- The Boss Level puzzle will include one missing value for each step
- Each missing value is labeled with a small index (1, 2, etc.) to show which previous puzzle it connects to
4. Output as Needed
- Use the Output Settings tab to save your puzzle as PDF, PNG, JPG, or SVG
- Optionally, use Instant Puzzle Books to generate a print-ready file
🎯 Outcome
You’ll have a “final challenge” puzzle that:
- Uses the results from earlier puzzles
- Forces solvers to complete earlier puzzles accurately
- Adds structure, reward, and difficulty to your puzzle book
