Batch Puzzle Creation with Time Saver in Wordoku

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use the Time Saver add-on in Puzzle Maker Pro – Wordoku Creator Edition. Time Saver allows you to create entire sets of puzzles in one go, saving hours of manual work.

✨ What You’ll Need

Puzzle Maker Pro – Wordoku Creator Edition
One or more word lists (TXT files recommended), or keep the word lists in specific presets
A target folder for saving your batch of puzzles

🧩 Step 1: Enable Time Saver

Open Puzzle Maker Pro.
From the Puzzle Type dropdown, select Wordoku.
Go to the Time Saver tab.
Check the box Use Time Saver to generate puzzles.
The Create button changes to Create (TS).

🧩 Step 2: Add a Time Saver Row

Each row in the Time Saver grid represents one puzzle set.
Columns include:
- Preset – Default (current settings) or select a Wordoku preset
- Quantity – how many puzzles to generate from this row
- Grid Size – 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, or 9×9
- Auto Fit – automatically choose the best grid size
- Difficulty – Level 1 to 7, if the level doesn’t exist for the grid size, the highest possible difficulty level will be used
- Random Position – The position from the current settings or preset will be used. You can override to use a Random position
- Puzzle Type – Classic, Groups Max Size, Groups Fixed Count, etc.
- Word List – select a TXT file with words/phrases (shows the file name)
- Select – button to select a TXT file for that row
Using the Add Rows (Preset) button, you can select multiple presets to add to the table, the ‘default’ word list settings for that puzzle will be used
Using the Add Rows (Word Lists) button, you can select multiple word lists to add to the table, the ‘default’ puzzle settings will be used

🧩 Step 3: Load Your Word List

Click the … button in the Word List column to choose a TXT file.
Format: word or word:description (for branding).
Only words that fit the grid size and puzzle type options will be used

🧩 Step 4: Preview Settings

Use Next Preview in the Puzzle Settings tab to check styling (font, colors, borders).
These style settings apply to all Time Saver puzzles that use the ‘default’ preset option

🧩 Step 5: Generate the Batch

Once your rows are ready, click Create (TS).
The software generates all puzzles based on your rows:
- Saves them to the Output Settings folder.
- Adds them to a Puzzle Book if Instant Puzzle Books is enabled.

You’ve created a complete batch of Wordoku puzzles in minutes. Each Time Saver row produced its own set of puzzles, ready for KDP interiors, Etsy printables, TPT resources, or PLR packs.
