Branding and Customization Options in Wordoku
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to make your Wordoku puzzles look unique and professional by using the branding and styling options in Puzzle Maker Pro – Wordoku.
✨ What You’ll Need
- Puzzle Maker Pro – Wordoku
- A word list with optional descriptions (format:
word:description
)
🧩 Step 1: Add Word Descriptions
- In your word list, add a colon (
:
) after a word to include a description. - Example:
TELEPHONE: A device used for calling
- When branding options are enabled, this description can be printed with the puzzle.

🧩 Step 2: Branding Options
- First, enable Branding Options on the Output Settings tab. You can set positions for layout elements and add a watermark (url) and logo.
- For Wordoku, go to the Branding tab
- You can select a built-in item for the Title, and for the Description. These must be enabled in the main Branding settings
- On the Branding tab, you can choose to display:
- Word Description – from your word list (
word:description
) - Word Set Name – automatically taken from the word file name
- Grid Size – 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, or 9×9
- Difficulty Level – chosen in Puzzle Settings
- Word Description – from your word list (
These options appear in the puzzle output, helping you create branded or professional-looking puzzles.

🧩 Step 3: Style Tab Customization
- Open the Style tab.
- Options include:
- Solution Font Color – highlight solution letters in a different color
- Word Cells – highlight solution cells in the puzzle (or hide for “solution only”)
- Fonts – click the font preview image (e.g., “Arial”) to open font settings
- Borders & Colors – adjust puzzle borders, region borders, and cell borders
- Background Fill – set background colors or leave transparent

🧩 Step 4: Preview Your Customizations
- Click Next Preview to check your styling.
- Switch between Puzzle, Solution, and Both views to confirm how the branding appears.
