Time Saver Overview
The Time Saver is an add-on module available for most Puzzle Maker Pro puzzle types. It is designed to automate and speed up the process of generating multiple puzzles and assembling them into books. While the core software can create individual puzzles and basic Instant Puzzle Books, the Time Saver enhances this with batch creation, presets, and flexible layouts.
Key Features
1. Batch Puzzle Generation
You can set up multiple “jobs” that define puzzle parameters such as grid size, difficulty level, or word lists. The Time Saver creates all puzzles automatically without manual input.
2. Flexible Layout Grids
Instead of being limited to one puzzle per page, you can create layouts of up to 10×10 puzzles per page. Padding and margins can be adjusted, and you can disable cells to add your own text, rules, or graphics.
3. Collation and Puzzle Mixing
The add-on can collate puzzles and solutions (e.g., all puzzles first, then all solutions) and mix puzzles of different sizes or difficulty levels within the same book. This helps in creating structured puzzle books with variety.
4. Presets and Automation
All settings—puzzle size, difficulty, and styling—can be saved as presets. Presets can then be reused to create consistent books quickly. This is useful for publishers creating themed books or multiple editions.
5. Module-Specific Options
Each puzzle type has its own Time Saver options. For example, Sudoku includes difficulty selection, while Word Search supports multiple word lists. This makes Time Saver highly adaptable across puzzle categories.
6. Fast and Preset Modes
Older modules have a split Fast and Preset mode:
- Fast Mode: Quickly generates puzzles using current settings.
- Preset Mode: Uses saved presets for advanced configurations, such as shaped word searches or mixed-difficulty sets.

Editions
In older products, the Time Saver was for sale separately. In newer products, the Time Saver is included in the Productivity and Creator editions of Puzzle Maker Pro. It is not part of the Standard edition. Standard users can still generate multiple puzzles manually, but without advanced layout control.
