I have been wanting to get into the Sudoku POD business I have started creating my own software, while I was doing research I have came across other software and I have purchased a few but I have to say Hans' Puzzle Maker Sudoku Pro is the best and exactly what I was looking for so I now use that on my Free Sudoku Daily's.
It is easy to use and understand so much so when he came out with the Maze maker I jumped on it before it the sales page was up.
Puzzle Maker Mazes
Just a simple maze...
You can select the grid size, in this case 30 rows and 30 columns.
You can set the solution complexity, resulting in a twisting and turning path, or a fairly straight path.
The drawing style of the walls and passages in this example is clean, and the colors are straightforward
But look what you get when you change the colors, and randomize the wall sizes.
A totally different maze, and with the solution complexity set to fairly easy, this maze will still be harder to solve than the clear image above.
You can set the colors for the floors and walls separately.
You can even specify the Start and End points for the solution path... and the symbols that should be printed for each of those.
For your convenience, there are a few other options:
Puzzles are generated as jpg images. You can set the exact size in pixels.
If you want to create a puzzle book in one go, set the proper trim size and margin settings, and select output to full page images or Powerpoint File.
That's how you create standard mazes and puzzle books.
The Pro edition of Puzzle Master Mazes can do even more:
Puzzle Maker Mazes Pro
The request I heard the most, when I started creating Puzzle Maker Mazes:
Can we create shaped mazes as well?
- Yes, you can create shaped mazes, using Puzzle Maker Mazes Pro
- Yes, you can select any image you want to use as a shape (or mask), it will use all the non-white and non-transparent areas for the mazes
- Yes, you can completely edit the shape, using our advanced Mask Editor - included with Puzzle Maker Mazes Pro
- Yes, you can save the edited shape as a preset, and reuse it at a later time!
Here's an example of a shaped maze, or masked maze.
You can see the unicorn shape, and the maze is drawn inside it.
You'll have to ensure that all the cells in the grid are connected, otherwise it might not be possible to draw a path from Start to Finish.
You can still set the Solution Complexity, Drawing Style and Color options for masked mazes.
Puzzle Maker - Mask Grid Editor
In the Mask Grid Editor you can completely specify the mask that's used to create the shape of the maze.
Select the number of columns (the rows will be calculated automatically if you use a mask).
Select a clipart file to use as a mask. When it's selected, the grid will be adjusted.
You can change the number of columns to create a smaller or larger grid.
You can click on each grid cell to toggle it on and off, and completely decide how YOU want the mask to look.
Or... use a blank grid, without a mask file, and just click individual cells to create your mask from scratch.
